Hightower 4 MY27

The Hightower is optimized for a 32t chainring. 30t and 34t will also fit.

The frame is UDH-compatible, but comes with our own machined aluminum hanger. You can replace it with another Santa Cruz hanger or a SRAM UDH.

CC frames use the very best materials and production processes available. Our C Carbon frames have the same features but the trade off for a little less $ is a little more weight. Both versions are made in our own factory, are just as strong and stiff as one another, and have a lifetime warranty. The CC frames are specifically designed for wireless drivetrains, while the C frames are compatible with both wireless or cabled drivetrains.

The Hightower comes with two bags - a tube purse and a tool wallet. You should be able to fit a superlight tube, a small pump, tire lever, and misc odds and ends in these two bags.

The Hightower Carbon C frame is compatible with all 1x MTB drivetrains, and includes full "tube-in-tube" routing for cable-actuated derailleurs. Our top end Hightower Carbon CC frame is wireless drivetrain only, saving weight and eliminating unused cable ports. All models are compatible with cable-actuated dropper posts.

The Hightower is designed around modern 55mm chainline cranks/drivetrains.

The Hightower has a 180mm rear brake post mount, so this is the smallest compatible rotor. Maximum rotor size is 223mm

You should definitely try both, but your starting point depends on terrain. For flatter terrain, try Hi setting. The quicker steering and slightly more forward weight bias will provide more responsive handling. For terrain with steeper descents, try starting in Low. This shifts your weight slightly down and rearward, providing a bit more confidence and control when pointed down hill.

Designed for 29" x 2.5" max. This will vary by manufacturer and model. 29x2.5" Radial tires are larger in diameter than standard tires and do not have sufficient clearance on the Hightower.

The Hightower fits most shocks on the market, including coil or large-volume air shocks. The shock dimensions are 230x57.5mm with 30x8 rear hardware and 40x10 front hardware.

This bike uses integrated headset cups. The upper up is 41mm and the lower cup is 52mm. The SHIS name is IS 41/28.6 IS 52/40. For Chris King this is a DropSet.3

No, the Hightower is built exclusively for 29" wheels and tires front and rear. The geometry is not setup for any 27.5" front or rear conversions.

Yes, this bike is equipped with ISCG-05 tabs for easy chainguide mounting. We recommend the the OneUp Chainguide or Bashguide V2 , but most guides that follow the ISCG-05 standard should fit.

The Hightower.4 geometry is based off of a 160mm fork with a 44mm offset.
