SEALPS is a multinational group of outdoor tourism experts based in the Southwestern Alps that came together with the Stone King Rally to bring new life to the region’s vast ancient trail networks for both racing and recreation. With the help of PayDirt funding, these forgotten trails are being re-built with the proper infrastructure to allow for racing and riding into the future. The "Vallon de Bachialon" in the Roya Valley – which contains approximately 35 turns shaped into small berms – and a few trails in the surrounding area of Sospel are the winning PayDirt candidates for 2022—and also a part of the Stone King Rally. AMBC's partners over at The Drop Inn are expanding permanent trail access for the community by adding four new trails, including two rowdy, progressive, all-weather downhill trails that will provide users of all abilities with new experiences. Cincinnati Off-Road Alliance was founded by a group of dedicated riders with the purpose of building and advocating for more miles of off-road trails. Today, CORA maintains 100 miles of multi-use natural surface trails for mountain bikers, hikers and trail runners.

PayDirt Grantee: Northwest North Carolina Mountain Bike Alliance (The Alliance)

Northwest North Carolina Mountain Bike Alliance (The Alliance) promotes land access, trail preservation, and new trail development on federal, state, and local lands for the communities of Boone, Hickory, Lenoir, Marion, Morganton, and Wilkesboro.

Together with PayDirt and the US Forest Service, The Alliance will be renovating the popular Yancey Ridge Trail in the up and coming Grandfather District of Pisgah National Forest. Yancey’s length is only 4.8 miles, but it is also part of a 13-mile backcountry loop that includes a scenic section of the North Carolina Mountains-to-Sea Trail, and is perhaps one of the most challenging trails in the region. Tucked away on a remote Vermont mountainside, there lives a cluster of trails called Victory Hill. Known for spectacular views of New Hampshire’s White Mountains, Victory Hill is used for a multitude of outdoor recreation and is lovingly cared for and maintained by Victory Hill Sector, a club of trail volunteers.

The Alternative Mountain Biking Association of La Grave (Association de Vélo Alternatif de la Grave) was founded in 2011 to develop mountain biking in the area of La Grave La Meije. Currently, the area features over 30 miles of trails that are fully dedicated to mountain biking and entirely built by hand by the local trail builders of the group.

PayDirt is funding the groups 2 year project, Vallons de La Meije to La Grave, a 5 mile trail that will start at the top of the mountain at at Col des Ruillans and go down through the Vallons de La Meije all the way to the footstep of the mythical glacier of La Meije. TVTA will be using their PayDirt grant to renovate and improve the Reservoir climb, which gives access to the majority of the Golfy trails in the area, and will be a huge benefit not only to the riding community, but also to walkers and equestrians. They will also be subsidizing the cost for 8 trail builders to complete a Trail Inspection and Volunteer management course so that they can then train more volunteers to get more trail work done in the correct and most efficient way. Moab Trail Mix (officially known as the Grand County Trails) partners with local land managers to design, build, and maintain trails around Moab, Utah.

Moab Trail Mix is funneling their PayDirt funds towards constructing phase two of the new Raptor Route, which will create 9 miles of new singletrack with a stunning view over canyon country.
