Loris Goes First at Windrock Pro GRT

March 10 — 2019 | Windrock, Tennessee

The Syndicate's own Luca Shaw and Loris Vergier, along with Free Agents Mitch Ropelato and Kiran MacKinnon (last year's Pro GRT Overall champ), descended upon the Windrock Pro GRT over the weekend. After the peanut butter mud was scraped from every conceivable nook and cranny, Loris took the top step with teammate Luca Shaw a few places out in 5th.

"After spending a week training and testing with Fox suspension in Portugal Luca and Loris arrived in Windrock, Tennessee for the Pro GRT event.  Looking at the weather forecast, it looked like this would be a wet race. Both Luca and Loris said it would be a great opportunity for wet weather training.

The first day of practice on Thursday was actually mild and sunny with the track drying out nicely.  Friday practice and seeding was wet with heavy rain at times.  The track turned from wet slop to heavy mud. The conditions became very slippery and tricky to ride.  Luca and Loris had smiles on their faces at all times.  Loris placed 2nd and Luca 6th in the seeding run.

Race day on Saturday was a very wet affair and the mud made the bikes very heavy and the track technical!  Loris took the win and Luca placed 6th.  Loris finished the 2018 season winning Transcascadia and now starts 2019 by taking the win at the Windrock Pro GRT."
