The Vala is a full-power ebike that delivers precision and power. It’s made for riders looking for focused performance on the best trails. Perfectly balanced, refined suspension and the finest quality construction, as always.

BIKE Magazin-DE

2026 Bike Test Winner

"The Vala AL shows just how good even an affordable e-MTB can be. While it isn’t packed with top-of-the-line features, the components are well-chosen. You just have to be okay with the fixed battery. The rear suspension and handling, however, are impressive even on rough terrain. It’s our favorite when you want something that’s both good and affordable—and thus the clear winner of our test."

E-Mountainbike Magazine

eMTB Field Test

"Santa Cruz delivers an impressively coherent eMTB that outshines several more expensive models. From the first metre it feels intuitive, generates real enjoyment and strikes a well-judged balance of agility, composure and confidence.

The suspension performs strongly on trail despite its simpler construction, and the spec is sensible and robust throughout. The charging port cover is a minor but notable blemish. A bike that makes a strong case that serious trail performance need not come at a serious price. A thoroughly deserved Best Buy."
