Absa Cape Epic - Prologue

20km Prologue Sets Stage For the Week

The 2015 Absa Cape Epic started dry and dusty with a 20km prologue stage that favored the pure XC riders (and those who started before the heat kicked up). There were only a few sections of singletrack, and plenty of opportunity to jockey for position. On the men's side, Martin Gujan and Faian Giger of Novus OMX Pro finished the day on top, but the next seven finishing teams were within a minute, and include a pile of pre-race favorites. Arianne Kleinhans and Annika Langvad torched the course, and finished three and a half minutes ahead of the nearest competitor.

You can watch Cape Epic unfold via streaming TV coverage and live rider tracking, too.
