Enduro World Series - Ainsa, Spain

September 29 — 2015

It was the EWS tour's first stop in Ainsa, Spain over the weekend, and it was also the first international race for the new Bronson! The weekend started with a prologue through old Ainsa, with the racers dressed in medieval garb as they railed berms over thousand-year-old roads. Chris Johnston was stoked about the start, saying, "The prologue was a great way to kick off the weekend of racing. Dressed up in medieval attire, popping wheelies through old cobbled streets, riding along a castle wall and even through a pub!" Scroll on for some great photos from Sven Martin, and the race in the racers' own words.

EWS organizers built a prologue course through old Ainsa comprised of existing features, as well as some freshly-constructed transitions

"We flew into Spain with our freshly built Bronsons not knowing what to expect terrain wise and bike wise. Turned out the Bronson was the perfect tool for the job. Fast and agile through the tight corners and stable when it got steep and rough."  - Chris Johnston

"The trails in Ainsa were some of the best so far on the EWS circuit. Good flow, lots of fast explosive corners and some of the biggest crowds I've ever seen at an Enduro race. " - Chris Johnston

With a clay based trail I started double wheel drifting sideways down a straight flat section of ridge line... Wowzers i was in for a treat coming into the final steep section. What felt like icy and unpredictable conditions I managed to double wheel drift and slide into some sturdy ruts to get me across the finish line up right, soaked and covered in clay as the storm unleashed its fury!" - Dylan Wolsky
