Syndicate Mega Recap

Syndicate 2018 Mega Recap

September 30 — 2018

The end is here.

Holster your magnums of champagne and deflate the t-rex. World Cup DH is over for the season.

The good news is, the Dinoshaw, Slow Loris, and the G.O.A.T are all still here in the archives. For everyone who's looking to kill some time, relive the glory days, and chase the Syndicate around the world one last time, we're dropping some heat.

We gathered up each of the news recaps from every race of the season, tossed in a gif or two, and capped the whole thing off with a Syndicate Series playlist and a helmet cam/track preview playlist.

Sorry, there's no link to a browser mode that makes this business look like the excel sheet you should be working on ... or instructions to the ride you should be wrenching. We'll Matrix that next time around. Hold on to 'yer butts.

Round 1 - Losinj, Croatia

"Fresh off early-season training at an undisclosed location (that you might recognize), Greg, Luca, Loris, and team mechanics Doug Hatfield, Jason Marsh, and PA set their sights on the coastal city of Lošinj, Croatia for the opening round of 2018's World Cup DH season."

Round 2 - Fort William, UK

"Before the first bike hit the Highlands dirt, the news started to fly. The Syndicate’s prototype V10 lit up the Internet, Greg announced that he would be out of the race due to injury and, with the seven-time Fort William winner out of the lineup, speculation flew about who was going to take the lead. The young guns of the Syndicate would have to step up."

Round 3 - Leogang, Austria

"A week after Fort William and we’re racing again, this time in Austria on a track with far less rocks than the previous two rounds. The track in Leogang is known to be one of the fastest on the World Cup circuit."

Round 3 - Val di Sole, Italy

"Round 4 landed in Val di Sole, Italy this year, and, even in good conditions, this is a track with a reputation. It’s rocky and rough from top to bottom and steep as hell throughout."

World Champs - Lenzerheide

"The race for the rainbows brought us to Lenzerheide, Switzerland this past weekend. One of the most scenic backdrops on the World Cup circuit, this track features fast and technical terrain with a mix of sniper roots, drops, and rock gardens to challenge racers in the hunt for the coveted rainbow jersey."
